
Nordic Naturals uses a nitrogen manufacturing environment
where there is no opportunity for oxidation to occur,
thus preventing rancidity (free radicals). We also
incorporate a synergistic blend of powerful antioxidants,
made specifically as a natural product to stabilize
fats and reduce the effects of oxidation. This is
our foundation for uncompromising freshness.
Polyunsaturated oils (i.e.: flax oil, fish oil, evening
primrose oil, etc.) are highly susceptible to "peroxidation",
which is a technical term for rancidity when exposed
to oxygen. In order to prevent this process from happening,
Nordic Naturals has added a natural blend of advanced
antioxidants to "stabilize" their oils and
protect them from becoming rancid. This blend consists
of lecithin, ascorbyl palmitate (vitamin C), added
vitamin E with both gamma and alpha tocopherols. An
independent analysis has shown that this natural blend
of antioxidants can stabilize fish oil up to 20 times
longer than standard antioxidants, which translates
into – better taste and better results!
